Beef patties are delicious, but we wouldn’t say they’re worth getting arrested for. Nevertheless, back on July 23, a man got pinched for stealing a beef patty, and a soda, from a restaurant in…wait for it…Flatbush, Brooklyn.

Reports DNA Info New York:

A 20-year-old man was arrested this week for stealing a beef patty, soda and $16.50 by gunpoint from a neighborhood Caribbean restaurant, police said.

The man entered Errol’s Caribbean Bakery at 661 Flatbush Ave. at Hawthorne Street around 9:25 a.m. on July 23 and asked a 17-year-old worker for the food and beverage, police said.

The suspect then told the teen “if you don’t serve me, I’m going to shoot you,” and flashed a black handgun tucked into his waistband, according to the police report.

The suspect put a $20 counterfeit bill on the counter and the worker gave him a D&G Champagne Kola soda, a beef patty and $16.50 in change from the fake money, police said.

Yes, son compounded his tomfoolery by using fake money to a his patty. No word on if he asked for coco bread, too.

The suspect is being held on $5000 bond and has been charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors.

The gif below sums up our thoughts on this struggle.

Also, bruh…
