“What did I do in the summer of ’92? I just came off the lawsuit with “Alone Again,” recalls Biz Markie backstage at Terminal 5 in NYC last night (Aug. 10). “It was just a beautiful time, touring and touring. That was the second year of my DJ’ing.”

He added, “Ya know another thing, they brought out that Crystal Pepsi in ’92, son!”

Biz Markie folks, always on his job.

Crystal Pepsi is back, and last night the brand feted its returned with a 1992 inspired party and concert featuring Salt N Pepa, En Vogue, Biz Markie and Lisa Loeb.

During his set, Biz let Cool V handle the DJ’ing while he ran down a medley of his hits including “The Vapors” and “Just A Friend,” of course. Part of his performance included a rendition of “Kiss” by his old labelmate, Prince. Seriously.

Salt-N-Pepa closed out the show with energetic performance that included hits like “Let’s Talks About Sex” and “Shake That Thang.”

Terminal 5 became a 90’s themed experience with a hair salon, a store to shop for tees and backpacks, and even an arcade.

Crystal Pepsi is in stores again for just a limited time. Check out photos from the night’s festivities below and on the flip.
