Meek Mill took a minute to talk at length about his highly-publicized battle with Drake, being on “his girl’s tour” and why he had to put his son in a better school.

A lot of fans in Hip-Hop turned their backs on Meek Mill over the last year. Well, at least on Twitter they did. Ever since he called out Drake for having a ghostwriter with Drizzy responding with two diss tracks including the scathing “Back To Back,” the online community has had nothing but jokes about Meek.

But, Meek would have you know that he is smiling and feeling good these days.

In a video interview with My Mixtapes, the Philly MC can be seen surrounded by luxury vehicles that he says keeps around him for inspiration, not to show off.

In the interview Meek insists that people find a new definition for “taking an L.” He says that despite what people may think, he’s moved his family and friends out of the hood, has his 5-year old son in a good school speaking French.

“I see social media, but it doesn’t affect my real life,” he says.

Meek also talked about how people ran with Drake’s “is this a world tour or your girl’s tour” line.

To that he says:

“I remember last year, everybody going against me because of a diss rap. You think telling me I’m going on my girlfriend’s tour is gon’ stop me? Was that a joke? Because where I come from…you end up having to take are a lot of girls who ain’t got nothing…I thought it was live to have a girl that get more money than me, to do a bigger tour than me. I thought that was actually dope.”

To see more of Meek’s fresh perspectives as he gears up to release the “extreme violence” free Dreamchasers 4, peep the video after the jump.
