Dwyane Wade’s Cousin Shot & Killed In Chicago, Trump Cites Tragedy For Black Votes
Dwyane Wade‘s cousin was shot and killed in Chicago on Friday (Aug. 26). Tone deaf GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump saw this tragedy as a way to get more votes from African-Americans.
Nykea Aldridge, 32, was shot while pushing a baby stroller. Per the Associated Press, she wasn’t the intended target two males fired shots at a third man. However, they hit Aldridge in the arm and head, per Chicago police.
Fortunately, the baby was not hurt.
Wade, who just signed with the Chicago Bulls this summer, took to Twitter to lament the loss of his family member.
“My cousin was killed today in Chicago. Another act of senseless gun violence. 4 kids lost their mom for NO REASON. Unreal” read part of Wade’s message.
As for Donald Trump, this morning (Aug. 28) he took to Twitter to essentially say “I told you so” and Black people should vote for me. Seriously.
“Dwayne Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!,” wrote Trump.
Disgusting. Also, he misspelled Wade;s name.
Our condolences go out to Dwyane Wade and his family. See more from the NBA star on the flip.
