Former NFL star Shannon Sharpe is stealing the show on Skip Bayless’ new Fox Sports show Undisputed. Here are some of his finest moments.
Shannon Sharpe is one of the few NFL athletes that made a smooth transition into being a sports analysts after his playing days were over. Early on he was criticized for his accent [he’s from Glennville, Georgia] but he’s managed to become one of the better men at his job. After starting out at CBS Sports, he parted ways with the network in 2014. But this past September he was tapped by Skip Bayless to join him on his new show Undisputed and he’s been making waves ever since.
As co-host, Sharpe is not only bringing the unique perspective of an athlete, but also as an opinionated, unashamed Black man. Some of us have gotten used to seeing videos of Sharpe’s diatribes being shared on Facebook at least once a week. The timing of him joining the show couldn’t be better, especially with all of the civil unrest in America and more athletes making their voices heard about it. He’s even managed to score an exclusive with Lil Wayne, getting him to talk about his current standing with Cash Money and Birdman. Oh, and that whole thing about never experiencing racism.
In case you haven’t tuned into Undisputed yet, or haven’t seen his videos floating around online, here are some of the best moments you’ve missed.
