In perhaps the most disturbing display, someone made an anti-Kaepernick shirt. One of them referred to him as “Kaerperdick” while the other had an image of him in crosshairs.

“Shut up and stand up” you say? Sounds very patriotic doesn’t it?

Kaepernick, who says he’s been receiving death threats, but not as frequently, was unfazed by the stupidity. He signed autographs for fans and went out and performed. He started out hot, but eventually his 49ers got mollywhopped by the Bills 45-16.

In another show of stupidity, some Bills fans chanted “USA! USA!” whenever Kaepernick touched the ball or during his kneeling. In response, Kaepernick tells USA Today:

“I don’t understand what is un-American about fighting for liberty and justice for everybody, for the equality that this country says it stands for. To me, I see it as very patriotic and American to uphold the United States to standards that it says it lives by.”
