New York Times bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell just got the ultimate co-sign. Gucci Mane says he is his favorite author.

Gladwell has made many ripples with his words over the years, influencing readers and writers from all walks of life. So has Gucci Mane. His DNA can be found in just about every rapper to come from Atlanta since 2008. But, no one may have thought that one might be a big fan of the other. However, it has been revealed that La Flare is one of Gladwell’s biggest fans.

Gucci was spotted holding a copy of Gladwell’s 2013 book David And Goliath.

When Gladwell found out, he said it was the greatest thing to ever happen to him.

Come to find out, this wasn’t the only piece of Gladwell’s work that Gucci has. He has read his entire collection.

Fans are already hopping on the Gladwell wave because of Gucci’s co-sign.

Gucci isn’t the first rapper to be influenced by Gladwell. The Roots named their 2004 album The Tipping Point after Gladwell’s 2000 book of the same name. Gucci may soon be joining Gladwell on the NYT Bestseller’s list soon. The rapper has signed a book deal with Simon & Schuster to release his memoir.

He’s not stopping there though. Gucci plans on dropping another album this year, The Return of East Atlanta Santa. Then next year he plans on leveling up even more.
