Radio and television personality Charlamagne Tha God will be adding published author to his resume soon. The famed, and infamous, c0-host of The Breakfast Club will be releasing a book titled, Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It, next year.

Charlamagne landed a book deal with Simon & Schuster’s Touchstone imprint.

Says the Associated Press:

With “brutally honest insights,” Charlamagne plans to recount his rise from a dirt road in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, to national fame through radio and MTV.

Charlamagne said in a statement that as an English teacher’s son he had always loved books and working a book himself was a “dream fulfilled.”

Charlamagne issued this statement to HipHopWired.com:

“I wrote this for the dreamers, for the optimists; this book isn’t for pessimists. This book is about embracing who and what you are regardless of race, gender, sexuality, and class. God gave you the privilege of this thing called life so regardless of what this society tells you that you can’t do and what you don’t have, understand you lack nothing God gave you everything you need to succeed.”

Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It will be arriving in stores on April 18, 2017. It is already available for pre-order right here.
