Former NBA player Steve Francis has a warrant out for his arrest for his connection to robbery in Florida, that he already admitted to.

TMZ reports that Francis is wanted in Florida for allegedly breaking into a car and robbing it of more than $7,000 worth of goods and cash.

Per TMZ:

Officials in Florida caught wind of the fact Francis was arrested in Houston for DWI over the weekend and are now trying to extradite him for an alleged burglary that went down in June.

We obtained the police report from that incident which says the ex-NBA star cased a 2003 BMW parked outside of the Cortez Clam Factory on the evening of June 15th.

Francis allegedly asked the bartender at the restaurant to give him a flashlight — and then he went to the car and ransacked it … taking the following items:

— makeup pouch, wallet, gold wedding ring, gold diamond band, earrings, press credentials and $100 in cash.

Here is the kicker though. Francis reportedly confessed to this crime just days after he committed it. TMZ says it has police reports proving that Francis walked into a local police precinct with a plastic bag full of what he stole and asked to be arrested because he was turning himself in. Francis was never arrested or charged with a crime and was allowed to leave.

It now appears that the police have changed their minds and want him back. They are asking that he be expedited back to Florida pronto.
