J. Cole Blesses Wale With Real Talk On “False Prophets,” Too

J. Cole dropped a video for a mean cut called “False Prophets” from his forthcoming new album, 4 Your Eyez Only. The first verse is getting much attention since it’s clearly aimed at Kanye West, but don’t sleep on verse two, which gets at Wale, more than likely.

Cole once again doesn’t name any names, but it’s obvious who he’s rapping about.

I got a homie, he a rapper and he wanna win bad/He want the fame, the acclaim, the respect that’s been had/
By all the legends, so every time I see him, he stressin’/Talkin’ ’bout, ni**as don’t f*ck with him, the shit is depressin’,” spits Cole.

Look at some of Wale’s past let’s say…transgressions, and who else could Cole be talking about?

The North Carolina rapper also said, “And I know he so bitter he can’t see his own blessings/Goddamn, ni**a, you too blind to see you got fans, ni**a.”

Maybe a phone call would have sufficed, but then we wouldn’t be bumping this song. And will Wale take heed? The message isn’t new, but maybe he’ll take it to heart since it’s coming from a peer.
