Dorsey Montgomery: Is The Black Juror In The Michael Slager Trial A Government Plant? [VIDEO]
Michael Slager trial jury foreman Dorsey Montgomery has been getting a lot of camera time since the killer cop’s mistrial verdict. Now he’s being suspected of being a government plant.
As the family of Walter Scott and Black America in general attempts to find justice for another unarmed Black man getting shot dead by the police, one man in particular has been going on a parade.
No, it’s not Michael Slager, the police officer who was seen on camera shooting Scott in the back as he ran from him, and got away with it. Rather, it’s Dorsey Montgomery, the only Black juror in his trial.
As we all know, Slager’s trial ended in a mistrial after jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict. Despite having seen the video evidence of Slager shooting Scott dead, the jurors chose not to find him guilty of murder. Then, they couldn’t agree on charging him with manslaughter either.
In the days since this travesty of justice, Montgomery has been doing interviews explaining just what happened during deliberations. On the TODAY show he insisted that it wasn’t just one deadlocked juror who prevented a verdict from being reached. He says that a few jurors were undecided, which can be somewhat believable.
But then he came out and said that he didn’t believe that race was a factor in a 99 percent White jury not convicting a cop they saw shoot an unarmed man in the back, for anything. Again, the only Black juror says that he didn’t think race was a factor.
