Ab-Soul’s new album, Do What Thou Wilt, is getting plenty of praise and a dash of controversy thank to its opening track. “RAW (backwards).” The TDE rapper hurls bars aimed at Jay Electronica, and Troy Ave, on the tune.

Ab spits: “I was like a swami of Jay Electronica until he/Figured Dizzle wouldn’t admit that he would body him for a milli/I told Kenny keep quiet I’ma get’em/We don’t need dirt on your hands getting the key to the city ya feel me/Hurts when your OG who’s supposed to be a G-O-D/Is standing next to King Kunta feeling like Tobey/Moose what I gotta do boy?/I’m just waiting on your cue to take him to ScHool, boy.”

You may recall that Jay Elec previously came for Kendrick Lamar, and eventually apologized. Clearly, Ab-Soul, who kicked these same bars back in July at Steez Day, is not so quick to forgive.

Of course, some on Twitter is reacting enthusiastically and slanderously to this latest turn of events.

Listen to “RAW (backwards)” below. Will Jay Elecronica respond before he drops his album? See what we did there?
