The announcement was made Thursday night during the A Very Uzi Christmas concert in Philly.

Wiz later confirmed the news on Twitter for those who didn’t witness the christening.

Lil Uzi Vert and Wiz Khalifa were both already signed to Atlantic Records, with Vert also being under DJ Drama‘s Generation Now banner. The deal looks to be in similar fashion to when Ty Dolla $ign, who is also signed to Atlantic, joined Taylor Gang after releasing his Beach House mixtapes.

The news caps off what has been a very eventful year for Uzi. Among his 2016 accomplishments are being featured on the XXL Freshman cover, being named to MTV’s Hottest MCs in the Game list and having his song “Now I Do What I Want ” featured in a Russell Westbrook Brand Jordan ad. He also added on to his “rock star” status by getting arrested for illegal dirt bike riding a few days ago.

Uzi Vert joins a long list of artists on the label including the aforementioned Ty$, Juicy J, Chevy Woods, Berner, Tuki Carter, Raven Felix, Tuki Carter, Sosamann, and J.R. Donato.
