Dr. Umar Johnson, aka “The Prince Of Pan Afrikanism” uploaded 45-minute rant against an adversary in the conscious community. People are calling him hypocritical for the language he is using.

Dr. Johnson’s profile has rose in recent years through his lecture tours, Breakfast Club interviews and appearances on in the Hidden Colors documentary series. He has spoke on everything from how the education system is designed to cripple young Black boys to how homosexuality in the African-American community is a liability. Naturally, his views have been very polarizing.

While most of what he has offered in the realm of education has been appreciated, his views on sexuality and other topics have been highly criticized. In recent years his brand and image have been taking hits as well. Most notably the controversy surrounding his campaign to raise money to start the Fredrick Douglas Marcus Garvey RGB International Leadership Academy. He started a GoFundMe to start the school that would specialize in teaching young Black boys. However, just as the campaign was gaining momentum, a woman calling herself a “conscious stripper” put Johnson on blast for ending their personal relationship. Johson is a single man and didn’t do anything “wrong” but many saw the “conscious” man sleeping with strippers as a bad look. Johnson claims this event caused a high-profile NBA player who was ready to fund his school to back off from the operation.

So, fast forward to today. Johnson is currently being dragged on social media for going on a tirade against a former ally in the conscious community. While Johnson has never been known to preach messages of “peace and harmony,” people are questioning his true identity after seeing the scholar spew insults on video, with a Philly knit cap on. Dude lost it went street WWE for a minute.
