Jerry Seinfeld‘s first name is Jerome, which is kind of hilarious. It also led to the star comedian having trouble getting into the Obamas’ epic farewell party at The White House this past weekend.

Reports Page Six:

“He was on the list under Jerry, but his ID has Jerome [his real first name]. They let his wife Jessica in, but he had to wait for Secret Service clearance. He found the whole thing funny and made light of the situation, laughing and telling jokes to guests as they passed through,” a spy said.

This is where we get even more details about how amazing the party must have been.

We’re told Seinfeld was forced to wait for about 30 minutes before being allowed inside, where the Roots featuring Solange, Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams and J. Cole performed.

Questlove and DJ Cassidy spun tunes, forcing Usher and Janelle Monáe into a dance-off in the middle of the floor. Solange and Kelly Rowland showcased a dance routine to Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It” as Bradley Cooper and pregnant Irina Shayk huddled in a corner and watched. Chrissy Teigen broke her shoe and had to dance barefoot.

But seriously, Seinfeld had to wait a half hour? It’s not like he was dressed in disguise.

Door people be playing.
