You can say Draymond Green is crazy all you want but the NBA in the 90’s had some real warriors kicking ass on and off the court. Now a new story about the gladiator’s game emerges courtesy of ex-NBA champion Chucky Brown who recalled the time that New York Knicks enforcer Charles Oakley blessed NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley with the Iceberg Slim fade.

Talking on the Jerseys & Dress Shirts podcast, Chucky recalled the time when Oakley and Barkley ran into each other at the Players Union meeting in 1999. The NBA lockout might’ve crippled the NBA season that year but it didn’t do anything to keep the hardcore 4 known as Charles Oakley from interrupting a conversation Barkley was having and asking “what’s all that sh*t you was sayin’?” But before Barkley could respond, Charles blessed him with an open hand slap to the face that echoed through the hallways of the Pimp Hall of Fame if Chucky’s story is to be believed.

Barkley was also known as someone who had a temper on and off the court but instead of getting into an all out brawl with Oak, Charles acted like nothing had happened an continued on with the conversation that had been so rudely interrupted.

Kind of a soft response from a man who once threw a heckling fan through a plate glass window but then again, this is Charles Oakley we’re talking about. So we kind of understand why he fell back.
