Raekwon The Chef brought in his 47th birthday by giving a gift to his fans.
The Wu-Tang Clan member revealed the release date and cover art for his new album titled The Wild.
Raekwon made the official reveal on his Instagram page where he says:
Here you go YALL. My 7th masterpiece ….this LP is filled with alot of excitement ….blood sweat and tears. This project was designed for the culture of rap to know aint a dam thing change since the beginning of my career. The title is called ” THE WILD…! ” with all the shit thats goin on today ……this title rolled off my tongue like alkaline water in the bloodstream. I must say YALL GON LOVE THIS CLASSIC. !!! GUARANTEED
The cover art depicts Rae walking through an urban jungle, armed with a golden microphone. The idea was conceptualized by Rae and British artist Dan Iish.
The album, set to drop on March 10, 2017, comes two years after his last offering Fly International Luxurious Art. It will be released on Rae independent label Ice H20 Records.
