A Georgia cop got an unexpected note when he stopped by his local Krispy Kreme for some doughnuts.

Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that an Atlanta-area police officer received a box of doughnuts with “Black Lives Matter” written on it with a magic marker.

A photo of the box was posted to the pro-police blog Blue Lives Matter which wrote a scathing post about Black Lives Matter, calling this action “extremely disrespectful to law enforcement.”

The police officer who received the box is not allowed to speak out on the matter, but a spokesperson for the Smyrna Police Department did issue a statement saying, “While it is clear this behavior was egregious in nature, Krispy Kreme did take responsibility for the incident.”

It is against company policy for Krispy Kreme to reveal what kind of punishment the employee received. However, their spokesperson relased a statement as well.

“We moved quickly to investigate the matter and take appropriate action,” said corporate spokeswoman Sarah Roof to AJC. “As a company, we value both our customers and employees and respect all viewpoints. The experience did not live up to these high standards we set for ourselves.”

This is not the first time we’ve seen some Blue Lives Matter vs. Black Lives Matter conflict via pastries. In September 2016, three Wal-Mart employees found themselves in trouble after they refused to make a “Blue Lives Matter” cake for a woman who was celebrating her father retiring from the police force.
