Perfect timing and a series of good events have led to Migos securing their first ever No. 1 hit album.

Thanks to having the No. 1 hit song “Bad And Boujee” and a wave of curiosity surrounding them after Donald Glover’s shoutout at the Golden Globe Awards, Migos have the No. 1 album in the country with their sophomore album CULTURE.

Billboard writes:

Culture’s debut was driven by streams of its songs, as streaming equivalent album units accounted for 59 percent of the set’s first-week total (77,000 of 131,000). The album sold 44,000 in traditional album sales and earned 10,000 in track equivalent album units.

The ranking marks a vast improvement from their debut album, 2015’s Yung Rich Nation, which peaked at No. 17.

The album features Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, Gucci Mane, and 2 Chainz. The time at the top may be shortlived though. Big Sean‘s album I Decided is expected to debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200 chart.
