The DJ is and forever will be the foundation of Hip-Hop. The Global Spin Awards reminded everyone of this again this year.

Hosted in New Orleans, which is already on tilt for NBA All-Star Weekend, the Global Spin Awards honored some of the most influential DJs, past and present.

The night was hosted by T.I. and featured performances from B.o.B, Joey Bada$$ and Dreezy. Master P also spearheaded a No Limit Reunion performance that featured fellow New Orleanians Silkk The Shocker, Mia X, Romeo and Mystikal.

DJ Spinderella of Salt-N-Pepa was presented with the Breaking Barriers Award by DJ Khaled. Spinmaster and OG sneakerhead DJ Clark Kent was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Other presenters included Dave Chappelle, DJ Evny, Tami Roman and GSA founder Shawn Prez.

The evening also allowed DJs to share dope moments with each other, like when Clark Kent gave DJ/music industry veteran KP the Great props for holding it down all night long as the house DJ.
