Paul Pierce has responded to Draymond Green’s mocking of his “farewell tour” via Twitter.

Pierce’s “tour” stopped through Oakland last night as the Los Angeles Clippers played the Golden State Warriors. This past fall, Pierce announced that this would be his final season in the NBA. While Pierce is no doubt a future Hall of Famer, his announcement and following farewell tour did not get the same attention as Kobe Bryant’s did last season.

Draymond Green took it upon himself to remind him of that. TNT cameras captured Green mocking Pierce as he returned to the bench after the Oakland crowd gave him a not-so-enthused applause for what will be his last game in the arena.

As hurtful as it may sound, Green told the truth about “The Truth,” right? Kobe was a player that transcended the sport and is the closest thing we’ve seen to Michael Jordan. Paul Pierce, outside of Boston, is probably one of the most hated players of his generation. Respected, but hated.

Pierce, who isn’t the young buck he used to be, didn’t charge or confront Green on the court. Instead, he did what many ball player his age do now. Which is respond later, on Twitter.

Pierce, posted this Tweet at 5 a.m., when Green was probably sleeping.

The tweet is a dig at Green and the history-making 2015-16 Warriors team who won 73 games in the regular season but blew a 3-1 lead in the Finals to the eventual champions, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But he didn’t even “@” Green though. C’mon Paul. But hey, at least Pierce will go down in history for never accidentally Snapchatting d*ck pics.
