Nkechi Amare Diallo. That is Rachel Dolezals new name if reports are to be believed. The beleaguered former NAACP president has gone full African on the masses, and Black Twitter is having quite the field day with the “I’m Black And I Know It” jig from Ms. Dolezal.

The Daily Mail claims to have obtained documents revealing that Dolezal changed her name to Nkechi Amare Diallo, which is said to be derived from West African languages. The publication writes that Dolezal filed the change last October and has maintained her stance that race should be a decision made by the person and not determined by genetics.

Dolezal is facing homelessness and unemployment as a result of her defiance to be seen as Black. In a profile by The Guardian, Dolezal says everyone except close family members has disowned her and nobody will take on the added baggage of hiring her even in menial jobs. She also has a memoir, titled In Full Color, set to be released soon.

Naturally, Black Twitter is having a field day with the name change and recent discussion about Dolezal’s state of living. While nobody should be kicked while they’re already down, it doesn’t appear that Dolezal is doing herself any favors by keeping up with the act.
