Right on the cusp of the release of the Power Rangers Hollywood reboot, TMZ is reporting that one of the stars of the Power Rangers Samurai TV series has pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter for stabbing his roommate to death with a sword.

Ricardo Medina Jr. admitted to murdering his roommate, Josh Sutter, back in 2005 by stabbing him multiple times with a “Conan The Barbarian” sword during an argument about Medina’s girlfriend. At the time the Power Rangers actor claimed it was self-defense but was rearrested a year later and charged with murder.

Ricardo now faces six years in prison (really?) and is scheduled to be sentenced later this month.
