Shots fired? Man down? That’s the word on the street ever since Kendrick Lamar blindsided his fans with the release of “The Heart Part 4” which apparently is loaded with darts aimed at Big Sean and/or Drake.
Social media has already focused on the second verse of the new cut which many suspect is Kendrick’s response to Big Sean’s subliminal in “No More Interviews.”
Peep what Kendrick let off in the second verse in “The Heart Part 4.”
“My fans can’t wait for me to son your punk ass and crush your whole lil shit/
I’ll Big Pun your punk ass you a scared lil bitch/
Tip-toeing around my name nigga you lame/
And when I get at you homie don’t you just tell me you was just playin/
I was just playing K. Dot, c’mon you know a nigga rock with you bro’/
Shut the fuck up you sound like the last nigga I know/
Might end up like the last nigga I know/
Oh you don’t want to clash? Yeah nigga I know!”
Then later on, he added an extra bar saying, “Hoe, Jay-Z hall of fame, sit your punk-ass down/So that means you ain’t bigger than rapping.”
Kendrick might’ve needed a shell catcher to go along with that verse.
For those who aren’t familiar to what he’s referring to, here’s the few bars that many believe Big Sean threw at Kendrick in “No More Interviews”:
“And I can’t lie like I like this shit like I usually do/
And I’m just not impressed by you niggas rapping fast/
Who sound like one big asthma attack but trash when I’m rapping it back/
Who you put in your top five and claim they the savior of rap.”
Hip-Hop conspiracy theorists have always pointed to the ”Big asthma attack but trash” as a reference to K. Dot’s delivery throughout Untitled Unmastered as the source for these bullets.
That could also explain why Kendrick said “Ill Big Pun your punk ass you scared lil b*tch” as Big Pun (R.I.P.) was known for his fast flow and tongue twisters.
While others feel that K. Dot was going at Drake, the evidence seems to point more so in Big Sean’s direction than the Canadian crooner.
As you’d expect, Twitter took the time to let Big Sean know he has a problem on his hands and that Drake might be next.
Many perceived, “One, two, three, four, five/I am the greatest rapper alive” a shot at Drizzy.
