Vic Mensa spat a freestyle during his show at the University of Cincinnati this past weekend. But the only part people remember is when he namedropped Lil Yachty.
Mensa has dropped plenty ill freestyles over the last couple of years and sounds like this one was no different. However, it looks like the antennas in the crowd didn’t go up until another rapper’s name came out of his mouth. In the middle of the freestyle Vic can be heard saying, “Then I signed to the ‘Roc now they say I’m illuminati / Bitch, I’m a tsunami, what the fuck is a Lil Yachty?”
Upon hearing Yachty’s name the crowd immediately forgot about the assonance and word association that he put on display, because “OMG! He dissed Lil Yachty!”

Is he actually dissing Yachty, we don’t know, it could just be some clever wordplay. Both artists were spotted with each other when they were in the studio with Kanye West around this time last year.
But Mensa is also the same guy who posted a photo with a blacked-out Chance The Rapper in it, so he could be dissing after all.
Yachty, who sees his name pop up in freestyles pretty often, has already seemed to hear the namedrop and has given Vic some advice.
Some fans have already decided that they don’t even want this potential beef to leave the freezer.
