Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco was fined $25,000 Tuesday for violating two NFL game policies.

Ocho was fined for possession of an electronic device and posting messages on a social media site during the Bengals preseason win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Aug. 20.

Two messages appeared on Ochocinco’s Twitter page during the prohibited period for players to be using social media, which is 90 minutes prior to kickoff and lasts until post-game media.

Ochocinco message appeared at 6:50 p.m. and the second at 9:53 p.m. Ocho’s game was at 8:00 p.m. which was during the period prohibited to tweet.  However, this brings up the question is it worth it?

Despite what many see the NFL as, it is purely entertainment.  So why is it that Chad can’t further the entertainment during a preseason game by interacting with his fans?  WE TALKING BOUT PRESEASON? (Iverson Voice)

Do you feel the NFL went a little too far with this one?
