All hail the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul for she has returned.
It’s been years since Mary J. Blige has released any new material but today she finally drops her highly anticipated comeback LP, Strength Of A Woman and with a title like that you know it’s gonna get real.
The album is 14 cuts deep of soul-baring music from Mary and features appearances from her old friend Missy Elliott, Quavo, Kanye West, and DJ Khaled amongst others.
Keep in mind that Mary laid down this album while going through a nasty divorce in which her husband not only stole her cash but allegedly did so to splurge on the other woman, Mary’s own protégé, Starshell. Sh*t is deep dawg, but it gets deeper so you know the vocals on this album are going to give you the feels.
