Last week, Antonio “L.A.” Reid abruptly announced that he would be stepping down as chairman of Epic Records. A former coworker is accusing the LaFace Records founder of sexual harassment.

According to the New York Post, the sexual harassment claim is why Reid stepped down. The details are salacious, to say the least.

The female assistant says Reid, who is married, made inappropriate advances to her during Epic’s holiday party in late 2016. Another portion of the letter alleges that Reid asked the woman for a hug while he was laying in bed in a hotel during a business trip.

Reid’s six-year run at Epic was hitting its stride, with successful releases from Future, A Tribe Called Quest and Rick Ross.

Reportedly, Reid is in talks with Warner Bros. Records about a new gig.
