Always outspoken NFL player Michael Bennett has some criticism for Stephen A. Smith’s criticism of Colin Kaepernick.

Smith has been one of Kaepernick’s harshest critics over the last year. Not because of Kaepernick’s choice to protest the national anthem before football games, but because he admitted publically that he did not cast a vote in the Presidential election.

Meanwhile, Kaepernick is still without a job in the NFL and some players are suspecting that he is being blackballed for protesting. Bennett is among those players and he also went as far as to say that Kaepernick would be a perfect fit for his team, the Seattle Seahawks.

Stephen A. objected and dedicated his “Final Take” segment to explaining why.

Bennett saw Smith’s video and called him “weak” for it.

Smith responded by saying he didn’t feel the need to call Bennett because he doesn’t think he said anything offensive. Bennett responded to that also.

Fortunately, it seems like this exchange is ending on a positive note. Smith reiterated that he has no problem with Bennett and is actually down to help him give back to community, any time, any place.

“I wish Michael Bennett nothing but the best, and I hope that when he’s somewhere in this country, helping the less fortunate than ourselves, he reaches out and asks me if I will join him,” he said.
