DJ Khaled has his eye on securing another bag. Sources say the social media savant is lobbying to replace LA Reid at Epic Records.
Recently, Reid stepped down from his gig as Chairman of the record label. Word is that it was a sexual harassment claim, and his allegedly expensive disregard for recording and marketing budgets, the led to his ouster.
Khaled recently spoke on the merits of Reid, who signed Future, Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, 21 Savage and more to the label.
However, now that the gig is vacant, a source claims Khaled made a play for the spot.
“He was petitioning to get that job. He’s like, ‘I make more happen than anyone in the game, why would I not be considered to run the label?’,” an alleged “industry insider” told Page Six.
Right now, there is nothing but speculation when it comes to who will be replacing L.A. Reid.
