The mutli-talented Donald Glover may have told fans that he’s hanging up his music hat for good.

Donald Glover has shown that he’s good and great in television, film as well as music. But, it looks like he may be retiring his Childish Gambino act. At the end of his set at Governor’s Ball this past weekend, Glover told the audience, “You’re in my heart. I’ll see you for the last Gambino album.”

Just like that, he was gone. Still high from the “Redbone” performance, the crowd didn’t quite know how to react. As Gambino, Glover has built a solid fanbase and even earned a Gold selling album with 2013’s Because The Internet. He stepped out of his traditional Hip-Hop sound to make last year’s cult favorite Awaken, My Love! which leaned towards funk roots. One can only imagine what he has up his sleeve for the rumored “last Gambino album.”

To his credit, Glover has been a very busy man over the last two years especially. People are already breathing down his neck for the second season of his hit television show ATLANTA. He’s also starring in the next Star Wars film and he just signed on to create an animiated television adaptation of Deadpool.

Hopefully, he’s just taking a break.
