Ice Cube, the original “n*gga with attitude” will go through with his appearance on self-proclaimed “house n*gger” Bill Maher’s HBO show.

Even though he apologized, Bill Maher is still catching hell for dropping the n-word last Friday on HBO’s Real Time. On top of that, Home Box Office isn’t planning on taking Chance The Rapper‘s advice and firing him. No, the show will go on and the schedule is still intact. Meaning that Ice Cube‘s appearance on the show is still a go.

According to TMZ, Cube is set to appear on Real Time this Friday as he gears up for the re-release of his 1991 album Death Certificate, which also served as a soundtrack for the racial tension following the LAPD’s beating of Rodney King and the riots that followed. Cube was booked prior to the “house n*gger” controversy.

Minnesota Senator Al Franken backed out of his scheduled appearance amid the controversy. Symone Sanders, an activist and former national press secretary for Bernie Sanders, says she will keep her appointment to appear on the show.

In case you missed it, Maher referred to himself as a “house n*gger” while talking to another White man in front of a studio audience. There has been plenty of blacklash since then. Frequent Real Time guest Killer Mike has chastised both Maher and his critics for their actions and reactions.

So it looks like the “n*gga you love to hate” will be sparring with the “house n*gga” the world currently hates this Friday. Will you be tuning in?
