After being weirded out for week with these mysterious 4:44 ads popping up everywhere, we finally have a hint at what it is.
But that’s it, just a hint, because we still don’t know exactly what it is. A 4:44 ad came on during Game 3 of the NBA Finals Wednesday night and it featured actors Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o and Danny Glover.
In it Ali plays a boxer while Glover randomly appears as his coach.
The ad was then tweeted out by Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure with a message saying “Excited to bring @Sprint customers exclusive content through our partnership with @TIDALHiFi – more news coming tomorrow!!”
So the message does confirm that the ads involved Tidal. But it did not make any mention of a new Jay Z album, which many assumed the ads were for. Could it be a mini-movie or music video. Looks like we all will have to wait.
