Kodak Black has been under fire due to his headass comments on complexion—mainly that he prefers light skin women over dark skin women. Amber Rose took to Twitter to chime in with a lengthy post on how she dealt with growing up as a light skin woman in Philly.

The comments come off very “woe is me” but hey, every well-thought out opinion matters, right?

Part of her message reads:

Being a “yellowbone” 🙄 mixed light-skinned woman I know unfortunately that Modeling jobs, boys and opportunities came to me easier but did not realize that until I got older. Growing up in Philly I went to an all black school. I was the “white girl” The one that the boys DIDN’T like, The girl that wasn’t as cool as the brown skinned girls. Black was the thing to be!
