Even though Tupac’s biopic All Eyez On Me released almost a month ago (June 16), Jada Pinkett-Smith is still big mad at the way the film portrayed her relationship with the iconic rapper.

During a radio interview in the ATL, Jada was promoting her latest film Girls Trip, The Matrix actress touched on the subject and clarified that her original statement wasn’t to sabotage the film’s rollout but because she “wanted people to know that what you’re seeing in regards to my relationship to Tupac is not true.”

Fighting back tears Jada continued to explain that she felt the portrayal was a “Huge disservice” simply because “My relationship with Pac would have shown people… what he truly was because it’s one thing to see Pac’s persona publically and who he was personally.”

But the salt in the wound for Jada was that “Those cold Black dudes know me.” Adding “We did Free Angela together so I know they knew how to reach for me.”

Ultimately Jada felt that the film handled Pac’s life in a “very disrespectful way, and I felt like it was exploitive of me and pack. How they used out relationship to sell a movie and I just felt like it was tomb raiding in regards to Pac.”

Check out Jada’s emotional statement below and let us know what you thought All Eyez On Me did Pac’s legacy justice.
