Dylan Dilinjah, who first made a splash as a member of the now-defunct Making The Band series, was parodied around a decade ago by comedian Dave Chappelle on his hit sketch show. The pair recently met for the first time, and Dylan announced that he’s got plenty hot fire in the can to spit.
Last week at a House of Vans event in New York, the gentlemen crossed paths and it was more than amicable, with Chappelle greeting Dylan with all smiles. The rapper was also completely overjoyed at the chance meeting, using the moment to take a long-awaited photo op and posting about the exchange via his social media channels.
In the throng of snapping cameras and Chappelle repeating the famous line heard and repeated many times over, the pair exchange brief words before heading over to an area to grab a drink.
The timing was great for Dylan, who mentioned he’s set to drop a new album, Pain 2 Power, on April 15th.
For those who grew up watching me… you know how epic and amazing this was. My first time meeting @chappellercmh. My album is coming Sep 15th. I guess the stars lined up at the perfect time. Bless up to @wyclefjean @diddy and everyone else I reunited with this year. Now let's move forward. You get it now? #pain2Power #1StopMedia #VpalMusic #ReelViews ▶️‼️SHARE AND TAG! 😊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪🏾
