The prolific DOOM drops a new cut called “True Lightyears” featuring the maddeningly elusive Jay Electronica. Oh yeah, there’s a new KMD album on the way, too.

As for “True Lightyears,” it’s part of Adult Swim’s The Missing Notebook Rhymes series that will be delivering 15 new tracks from the masked MC. As you would expect, the song is a tight mash up of bars and bars and bars.

Also worth noting, per NPR, the song is a preview of a forthcoming new KMD album titled Crack In Time.

KMD’s debut, Mr. Hood, dropped back in 1991, when the group consisted of DOOM (then Zev Love X), his late brother DJ Subroc and Onyx.

So a new album?—we’re here for it. Listen to “True Lightyears” below.
