Mystikal has turned himself in on rape charges. Bail has been set at $2M, no doubt because the rapper, born Michael Tyler, 46, already having served time on sexual assault charges.
Today (Aug. 21), Mystikal turned himself into the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Department where he was arrested and booked on first degree rape charges.
Although another man, Averweone Holman, was arrested, details about what got them in this predicament are still scarce. The assault reportedly occurred in October 2016 at a Shreveport casino where Mystikal was performing as part of the “Legends of Southern Hip-Hop” tour.
The Shreveport Times reports that the authorities say DNA evidence links both men to the scene. The rape allegedly occurred at 300 Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway in Shreveport, LA, the address of the Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino.
Police are still looking for, Tenichia Wafford, 42, of Harker Heights, Texas, who allegedly urged the victim to drop the charges.
According to TMZ, Mystikal’s camp is denying the charges.
