It is not often the New England Patriots get beat badly. The Kansas City Chiefs did just that in week 1 of the NFL season and the slander came from all angles.
In what was supposed to be an expected win for the reigning champs’ home opener the Pats got lumped up by the Chiefs. Their much-hyped offense was hampered by several stalled drives and failed fourth down conversions—all which left Tom Brady to go 16 for 36 on attempts with no touchdowns.
Considering the Patriots are one of the most polarizing professional sports organizations of all time, the let down caused a petty-thon. Sports journalists and online personalities alike took to social media to throw salt on their wounds.
