Get ready. Lavar Ball is planning to release his own sneaker with a price tag of $1,500 dollars. Yes $1,500.
During a recent Instagram live Q&A session the boisterous businessman was asked if there were any plans to drop his own Big Baller Brand shoe. Of course, LaVar did not disappoint with his answer.
He broke the news that his sneaker, called the “The LaVar-iccis”, is in the works. “I just don’t know when I’m coming out with it yet. ‘The LaVar-iccis!’ Holler at your boy! But I will give you a tip. Make sure you save your money because they’re gonna be $1,500 or more. Cause I’m gonna design them and they’re gonna be fly. My bad—they’re gonna be baller-ized,” Ball explained.
Earlier this year, the former dual athlete made headlines when reports alleged he turned down million dollar endorsement deals from Nike, adidas and Under Armour for his son Alonzo Ball. In turn, he launched his own footwear company Big Baller Brand and released the design challenged ZO2s.
While he has proven himself to be a master troll, LaVar seems to be very serious with the talk of his signature shoe. Let’s hope he is able to put something semi decent together for that price tag or Twitter is sure to have his head on a platter.
