Assassin’s Creed Origins might be the wokest game ever with the introduction of their combat free “Discovery Tour” mode.

Developer-publisher Ubisoft introduced a new mode that eliminates the video game’s beloved combat feature and takes players on an educational adventure of Ancient Egypt. Discovery Tour Mode takes one of the game’s iconic features the Animus Database and using it as a springboard into the new mode.

Discovery Tour Mode turns the beautifully recreated land of Ancient Egypt into a large museum where players can go on guided tours and learn about the history of Egypt first hand. ‘

The Creative Director of Assassin’s Creed Origins had this to say on the new mode:

This is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time, that we’ve been asked to do by teachers, by institutions, Discovery Tour is another way to enjoy the beauty of the world we’ve recreated. It’s a more educative mode, so it’s clearly focused on education and on bringing to people actual facts, more academic knowledge. We spent years recreating Ancient Egypt, documenting ourselves, validating the content with historians, with consultants, and we feel that many more people than just the players can benefit from that,” says Guesdon.

The new mode will be completely separate from the main game, and will allow players to completely roam the entire game map with no restrictions and at their own pace. The map will be comprised of dozens of interactive tours curated by historians and Egyptologists.

Players will be able to learn about the Great Pyramids, the life of Cleopatra, mummification and much more.

See learning can be fun.

Discovery Tour arrives early 2018, and will be a free update for Assassin’s Creed Origins which launches on October 27th on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
