Many observers took note of a little sneaker beef sniping going on between Stephen Curry, who rocks Under Armour, and Kevin Durant, who reps for the Nike squad. While it seems like there was tension between the two Golden State Warriors superstars, a photo on Instagram posted by Chef Curry with the pot has dispelled such chatter with ease.
The so-called tension began when Durant joined The Bill Simmons Podcast as a guest and quipped that people don’t want to wear Curry’s signature sneakers. Although Curry said he and KD cleared the air between them and that it won’t put a dent in the momentum of the upcoming season, the rumors that a brewing beef was on the horizon couldn’t be ignored.
With the Instagram photo, Curry and Durant can be seen smiling with KD pointing at his Nike shoes knowingly with the caption reading, “Why so serious? #sneakerwars” so apparently, the guys are in on the joke too.
