Instead of focusing on matters of global importance, or, you know, supporting the needs of the people he leads with class, President Donald Trump instead used Twitter this morning to fire a shot at Jemele Hill. Not only did the Cheeto-In-Chief take a jab at the sports anchor early Tuesday morning (Oct. 10), he also felt a need to mention Hill’s network, ESPN, and its ratings.

“With Jemele Hill at the mike, it is no wonder ESPN ratings have “tanked,” in fact, tanked so badly it is the talk of the industry!” Trump wrote in what is probably his interpretation of a classy response to the matter involving Hill, who was suspended for two weeks by the network for violating a social media use police.

Hill landed on Trump’s radar after firing off a series of tweets calling him a white supremacist and bigot, which led to ESPN briefly suspending her. This week, Hill’s online comments about Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones prompted the network to sit her down for two weeks and there has been a strong push back in social media.

Trump began his early missives in attacking the NFL, continuing whatever weird crusade he and Vice President Mike Pence are cooking up.

“Why is the NFL getting massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our Anthem, Flag and Country? Change tax law!” Trump tweeted.
