Legendary NFL football coach Mike Ditka decided to let us know he really feels. While discussing NFL protests, Ditka went full racist.

Ditka was a guest on Westwood One’s Monday Night Football pregame show with Jim Gray. Of course, the subject of NFL protests came up, and it was pure racist struggle.

“I don’t care who you are, how much money you make. If you don’t respect our country, then you shouldn’t be in this country playing football. Go to another country and play football. If you had to go somewhere else and try to play the sport, you wouldn’t have a job. … If you don’t respect this flag and this country, then you don’t know what this is all about. I would say, adios.”
Adios? Oh, it gets worse.

“I don’t know what social injustices have been,” he said. “Muhammad Ali rose to the top. Jesse Owens is one of the classiest individuals that ever lived. I mean, are you talking everything is based on color? I don’t see it that way. I think that you have to be color blind in this country. You gotta look at a person for what he is and what he stands for and how he produces, not by the color of his skin. That has never had anything to do with anything.”

Did anyone explain to Ditka that’s exactly why Kaepernick took a knee. Also, the colorblind jig is nonsense. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging race, the problem is when you add bogus and racist attitudes to your observations.

Anyway, Ditka only kept digging a hole.

He added, “All of a sudden, it has become a big deal now, about oppression. There has been no oppression in the last 100 years that I know of. Now maybe I’m not watching it as carefully as other people. I think the opportunity is there for everybody—race, religion, creed, color, nationality. If you want to work, if you want to try, if you want to put effort into yourself, I think you can accomplish anything. And we have watched that throughout our history of our country.”

No oppression in the last 100 years? This is called willful ignorance. Also, the Civil Rights Act that outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin was in 1964. That was just 53 years ago, since bigots tend to be terrible at school subjects, like math.

Ask yourself, why is Mike Ditka so angry? No, it doesn’t have to do with the flag or the National Anthem.

Peep the reactions to Ditka’s tomfoolery below and on the flip. Lastly, is he going to get suspended from ESPN like Jemele Hill or nah?
