Got a young video game lover in your family? Don’t want to spend $60 on a new controller?

The Japanese-based company Hori has the accessory for you with the new mini PS4 controller.

Mini PS4 Controller

Built for younger gamers with smaller hands, the mini wired gamepad is 40% smaller than the flagship Sony DUALSHOCK®4 Wireless Controller. It’s also a lot cheaper costing exactly half the price at a very affordable $30.

The mini controller is officially licensed by Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, is plug and play with a 10ft cable, can be easily gripped and comes will all of the essential buttons and is compatible with most games.

Unlike its grown-up counterpart, it is missing a light bar, speaker, dual motors, motion sensor or stereo headphone jack, though.

With the holidays quickly approaching, a PlayStation 4 is sure to be on someone’s list so this controller will serve as the perfect add-on. Or if you already own one and understandably don’t trust the young one with the DualShock, the mini pad is also for you.
