Nicki Minaj‘s public ask to hop on a remix for Lil Uzi Vert‘s “The Way Life Goes” single from his Luv Is Rage 2 album got a little buzz but nothing transpired since the announcement. However, a fan inquired about the development of the track to which the Queens superstar says is finished but it’s being help up at the moment.
A fan wrote via Twitter Friday night (Oct. 20) about the status of the remix.
“[W]hat about Lil uzi vert’s song “The Way Life Goes” that u suppose to be remixing?” @IMAMTAY wrote via Twitter, getting a direct response from Nicki in minutes.
“Been done!!! but apparently someone somewhere wants to hold back on putting it out right now. It’s not me & it’s not Uzi tho. Tea anyone?” Nicki replied.
With Vert’s “XO Tour Lif3” still charting well, “The Way Life Goes” has made moves itself on the Billboard Hot 100. The issue could be a matter of timing between Vert and Nicki’s labels or some other behind the scenes happenings the public won’t be privy to. Needless to say, fans are itching to hear what transpired.
