Ghostface Killah‘s favorite cereal, as noted in his classic song “The Watch,” Corn Pops, and its parent company Kellogg’s is in a little hot milk, ahem, water right now. Marvel Comics author Saladin Ahmed peeped out a Corn Pops box cover and noted the one brown pop in the sea of yellow ones worked as a janitor which has promoted Kellogg’s to redesign.

Ahmed, who is the current writer for the Black Bolt series which focuses on the leader of the Inhumans, pointed out the struggle in a tweet Tuesday which featured the Pops in a bustling shopping center.

“[H]ey @KelloggsUS why is literally the only brown corn pop on the whole cereal box the janitor? this is teaching kids racism,” Ahmed wrote, going viral on Twitter and beyond.

Kellogg’s social media team moved swiftly to address Ahmed’s concerns, which also gained some appreciation from the writer.

In classic hurt alert fashion, faceless racists and others have been trying to attack Ahmed and slam his efforts to call attention to the box cover. Ahmed has also garnered a heavy level of support from Twitter users. We’ve collected a bit of the chatter below and on the following pages.

And not for nothing, but Ahmed’s upcoming Abbot series looks lit.
