Starting today (Nov. 7), sneakerheads and sportswear fanatics can download the new Adidas app on iOS and Android

Trying to get your hands the latest Adidas sneakers and merchandise has gotten a tad bit easier now. Revealed at Dreamforce, the world’s largest software conference, in San Francisco, California, the app promises to allow users easier access to their online products.

Not to be outdone by their direct competitor Nike’s SNKRS app, Adidas app will also provide users with a unique personalized shopping experience by tailoring to the customer’s preferences and behaviors. The app will also offer customers inspiration through personalized articles, blog posts, videos and real-time updates about sports from Adidas signature athletes like James Harden and Lionel Messi and the products they care about the most.

Joseph Godsey, Head of Digital Brand Commerce on the new app:

With the adidas app we are truly enhancing and personalizing our consumer’s

experience with adidas. With one tap, consumers can now purchase directly through

the app, track their order, interact with the brand and benefit from a customized

newsfeed

Transactions on the app are very smooth thanks to Apple Pay and Android Pay and you can keep a constant eye on your order status by chatting with in-app customer service.

Now as to why Adidas waited so long to launch their app, Godsey, added they wanted to make sure the it worked seamlessly with their other apps like All-Day their fitness app. If you are wondering if you can purchase limited edition merchandise like for example Yeezy’s sneakers, he also revealed that is the plan down the road. You still will have to use Adidas site or the Confirmed app to make those purchases for now.
