Actor/activist Sean Penn has some choice words for ex-Haitian Presidential candidate Wyclef Jean and is  denouncing his allegations that he was “too busy sniffing cocaine” to notice the rapper’s contributions to Haiti shortly after an earthquake devastated the country in January.

As previously reported Wyclef Jean took the stage at Hot 97’s “On Da Reggae Tip” concert to air out his grievances.

Taking the stage at the show, Clef dissed Penn for reported cocaine use  and took a shot at the former best man at his wedding Pras, in his song “If I Was President” saying,

“If I was president….I got a message for Sean Penn, maybe he ain’t see me in Haiti because he was too busy sniffing cocaine. I got a message for Praswell, even though you don’t want to support me, I got love for you, even though you only kicked 8 bars for the Fugees…”

In a statement issued by Penn, the actor states:

“Mr. Jean is clearly unfamiliar with the physical demands put upon volunteers in Haiti,” a representative for Sean Penn said in a statement. “As aid workers there, the notion of depleting the body’s immune system thru the use of illicit drugs is ludicrous.”

The statement strongly denounced Wyclef’s claim that Penn uses the drug and stated that the actor’s organization, the J/P Haitian Relief Organization, had a zero-tolerance policy for drug use.

“As the leader of this organization, Sean Penn has not only set this policy, but adheres to it,” Penn’s representative said. “That Mr. Jean would make such a false accusation is reckless and saddening, but not surprising.”

Although Pras has yet to respond to his diss, I have a feeling that the situation between Wyclef and Sean Penn is only going to heat up.
