Today (Nov. 15), Foot Locker announced its 6th annual Week of Greatness with they year’s global campaign hoping to inspire greatness via Acts of Greatness.

Rallying behind #GreatnessDoesGood, Foot Locker will be participating via product and financial donations, in-store collection points, and local charity activations to help those in need—particularly people affected by global tragedies. The brand’s partners will include Jordan Brand, Nike, adidas, Puma, Converse and Reebok as well as the New York Knicks.

“At Foot Locker, we believe that greatness is not only about what sneakers you wear, it’s about what you do while you’re in them,” said Dick Johnson, CEO and President of Foot Locker, via a press statement. “This year, instead of bringing together the biggest stars in sports to create our well-known, humorous ads for the annual Week of Greatness, we are bringing global sneakerheads together to commit and champion Acts of Greatness.”

A focal of point of the 2017 Week of Greatness campaign is also aiding Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. Foot Locker will be placing sneaker donation bins in over 1,650 of its stores worldwide in partnership with the Soles4Souls non-profit. Customers are encourage to donate new or gently-worn shoes in stores starting Nov. 18 through Nov. 26. While new shoes will be sent to Puerto Rico, used shoe donated at international Foot Lockers will benefit the Soles4Souls Micro-Enterprise program, which offers aid in developing countries.

Carmelo Anthony is also involved.  “Helping Puerto Rico overcome the devastating impact of Hurricane Maria is a cause that is very near and dear to my heart. Foot Locker’s generosity throughout the Week of Greatness will undoubtedly have an impact as the island continues to rebuild and recover the many items, including clothing and shoes, that were lost,” said Melo via a press statement. “I encourage everyone to join me in donating any unworn pair that you can to help those in need in Puerto Rico through the #GreatnessDoesGood campaign.”

Today’s launch is accompanied by a pair of videos featuring lookalikes of athletes Damian Lillard, James Harden, and Kristaps Porzingis in one and Carmelo Anthony, Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving in the other. The spots intend to prop up athletes using their celebrity in the community vs just in a national commercial.

Watch the “Damian Lillard, James Harden, and Kristaps Porzingis” commercial below and the “Carmelo Anthony, Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving” on the flip.

As usual, expect the newest kicks from the aforementioned brands dropping exclusively at Foot Locker all month long.
